11. Kate
12. Jack
I used to love John the most but this last season has me all lusty for Sawyer. Plus I had a dream about him. Also, shares hot stubble, long hair thing with Adam. Also has so many great nicknames. Used Gizmo once (for Ben I think).
Adam and I like to sit around and talk about our Lost hypothesis. Such fun. Can’t wait until next season starts!
I honestly cannot stand Jack or Kate either. The drama is way overdone. The love triangle part of it almost has me hating Sawyer sometimes. Freckles needs to pick a man and be done with it. Poor Juliet.
The World Trade Center sailed into the city this morning.
The USS New York, which has a bow built from 7.5 tons of Twin Towers steel, stopped near Ground Zero as a detail on board fired off a 21-gun salute.
Families of victims of the Sept. 11 attacks standing on the north cove then saluted the Navy’s newest warship as it continued up the Hudson.
After the 21-gun salute, petty officers Mike Sullivan and Paul Bershers, who were on watch on the bow, started singing Billy Joel’s “New York State of Mind.”
After the Ground Zero stop, the ship escorted by about two dozen tugboats and other vessels headed up the Hudson River toward the George Washington Bridge. After a U-turn there, it was to head south to Pier 88. An official commissioning ceremony is scheduled for Saturday.
Beautiful.
Carving pumpkins while listening to Smashing Pumpkins: tradition.
This is unrelated to pumpkins, but I love that kitchen!

Want! I’m tired of using so many plastic baggies (though I do recycle them).
Re-blogging for my sister, who has gone so green that she does not have ANY plastic baggies in her house.
I loved this show.via superconspicuous
This was a fantastic, educational show. My little sister used to watch it on PBS, and I would watch it with her.
What’s the story, Wishbone?
The “Got Milk?” campaign began running in October 1993 and has been credited with greatly increasing milk sales nationwide after a 20-year slump.
The first commercial [which I’m sure we all remember], aired in October 1993 and featured a hapless history buff who receives a call to answer a radio station’s $10,000 trivia question: “Who shot Alexander Hamilton in that famous duel?”
The man’s apartment is shown to be a private museum to the duel, packed with artifacts. He answers the question correctly, but because his mouth is full of peanut butter and he had no milk to wash it down, his answer was unintelligible. The ad, directed by Michael Bay, was at the top of the advertising industry’s award circuit in 1994. In 2002, the ad was named one of the ten best commercials of all time by a USA Today poll. (source)
_____________i wonder what the criteria must be for ‘best commercial’. this one is good, as in it’s funny enough that you’ll remember it, thanks to the dramatization (i mean, the most pressing situation us non-actors would face is someone asking us a simple question after we’ve just stuffed an shortbread cookie into our mouths), and if it increased sales as much as it has, it certainly achieved its purpose, thanks in part to the sexual undertones of its print ads too, but is it one of the best??!
There’s a big difference between a commercial and a campaign. It could be the best commercial, but when you start involving the print ads, you have to start referring to it as a campaign.
And though I think this campaign rocks because of its strategy, execution and longevity, I’m not sure that particular commercial is one of the best commercials of all time.
With that said, go Goodby Silverstein & Partners.
