Today, Meliss, Sarah and I had a lovely and delicious brunch at Herbie’s in the Central West End.  On our way back to my car, we noticed a sign on the sidewalk that said, “Vintage, Vintage, Vintage, Vintage”. I said, “Girls, we need to find out where this sign came from!” Just a yards away was an entrance to a vintage store that I had never seen before. It’s called Borough Vintage.  From their website: Borough Vintage clothing boutique is dedicated to the love of quality vintage clothes. Our mission is to maintain a highly curated selection of covetable vintage clothing from the 1940’s, 1950’s, 1960’s, 1970’s and 1980’s.  Led by a former retail buyer, our small team travels the country to find vintage pieces that inspire the fashionable women of today. We have a deep appreciation and admiration for the creative mixture of new and old and encourage everyone to discover the joy of dressing by creating a personal, signature style.   The shop had all sorts of cute items - dresses, shirts, shorts, skirts, coats, shoes, etc - and all were gently (if at all) worn. Tons of accessories, too - purses, jewelry, scarves. Meliss got a white purse in pristine condition. Sarah got a grey belt and dress for work. I ended up with a pink blouse that is going to be perfect for work and an AH-mazing belt which seriously couldn’t be more patriotic. (or could it?) The Blouse. sweet little pocket. two button closures in the back.  The Belt. red, white, and blue. gold anchor buckle. perfect for boating and the 4th of july.
